German Chamomile
This annual form of chamomile can self-sow quite productively. Do not be surprised if you see it sprouting in cracked foundations, between sidewalks or in different locations throughout your yard.
Pick and dry the flowers before they have a chance to go to seed and treat yourself to some relaxing homemade tea.
Chamomile is often referred to as an ‘herbal aspirin’ as it has anti-inflammatory properties. It is also an anti-oxidant, so helps fight free radicals.
Chamomile Tea
Chamomile is a natural anti-spasmodic. This means it is great to help the smooth muscles of the stomach to relax and is very beneficial for easing stomach pains or cramping. Well known for its tranquil qualities, chamomile is a popular component of many night time tea blends and bedtime tea formulas.
Dry the flowers and enjoy a cup of tea from your own garden!
